Stitch the front and neckline

9. Starting at the bottom front edge, cut up along the centerline. Pin and stitch a 1⁄3" double-fold hem (see Making a Double-fold Hem), starting at the bottom edge and going up both side edges, stopping at the neckline. Then make a 1⁄3" double-fold hem around the neckline. Go slowly and use as many pins as you need.

10. To make the V neckline, make a mark about 14" down from the front neckline on the wrong side. Fold over about 3" of the curved neckline on a diagonal to that mark, as shown.
